The maximum wind load the structure can withstand is 80 km/h, making the tent resistant to strong winds. An additional advantage is that the tent can withstand a snow load of 0.28 kPa, making it suitable for year-round use, even in winter, provided that accumulated snow is cleared regularly.

Weather resistance

The GS335017 gable-roofed storage tent has been designed for long-term use in harsh weather conditions. The tarpaulin covering the roof and side walls is made from durable PVC fabric with high resistance to mechanical damage, UV radiation and moisture. As a result, this tent is ideal both in summer, providing protection from the sun and rain, and in winter, offering protection from snow and wind. An important part of maintaining adequate protection is regular maintenance and inspection of the tarpaulin, as well as ensuring it is properly tensioned using the supplied transport straps.

It is recommended that during the winter, when temperatures drop below 10°C, the tarpaulin should be stored indoors at a higher temperature before assembly. Otherwise, the material may be damaged during unfolding. 

Practical tips for using the tent warehouse

The GS335017 storage tent has been designed with durability and functionality in mind; however, to make the most of its potential, it is worth following a few guidelines for use. First and foremost, the owner should regularly check the anchoring, particularly after strong winds. Securing the structure to the ground is crucial for its stability, so it is important to check at least once a month that the anchors have not come loose.

Another important aspect is ensuring the tarpaulin is properly tensioned. If the tarpaulin is too loose, so-called ‘hammocks’ or ‘pockets’ may form, which negatively affect the stability of the entire structure. Regularly tightening the tarpaulin, especially after several months of use, is essential to ensure adequate protection against rain and wind.

You should also avoid storing heat sources in direct contact with the tarpaulin, as this may damage it. Heating appliances should be kept at least 2 metres away from the tent structure. In the event of severe storms or hurricanes, it is recommended that the roof covering be removed immediately to prevent damage.
