With this blog article, I have decided to introduce the sequence of steps in the assembly of the CT 2020 Livestock field shelters, dimension 6x6m. This text can be applied to all our products, as the construction and assembly system is very similar. All of our solutions are halls, canopies and pens, assembled from steel tubular elements inserted into one another and bolted together.
- Open the packing crate and read the assembly instructions. Check that the crate contains all the components from the instructions. Group the components of the structure this will make your work easier.
- Draw straight lines perpendicular to each other. These will mark the location where the tent will be erected. The ground must be level.
- Lay out the mounting bases according to the instructions. Check dimensions carefully. Check the diagonals. The diagonals should be equal, then a straight line between the mounting bases is maintained.
- Nail the mounting bases to the ground using the dowels provided. The pegs in the kit are ground pegs. If you are mounting on other ground, you must use different pegs.
- Assemble all arches of the structure on the ground. Do not twist the bolts tightly. Pass the bolt through and twist it slightly so that the arch can be lifted. We will tighten later. Remember to reposition the bolts so that the threads do not touch the tarpaulin.
- Lift and insert the first 2 arches into the mounting bases. Twist the arches into the mounting bases. Twist the side crossbars, twist the roof purlins. Twist lightly. We will tighten later. . Remember to reposition the screws so that the threads do not touch the tarpaulin.
- Assemble the next components as instructed. If everything is OK, tighten the screws. . Remember to reposition bolts so that the threads do not touch the tarpaulin. Wrap tape around the pipe joints to cover the places where the pipes connect.
- Install the tarpaulin on a day with no wind.
- Leave the tarpaulin in the sun for a couple of hours so that it sits better on the structure. If you are installing at temperatures below 10 degrees you are aiming for. Leave the tarpaulin in a heated room for 48 hours. Tie the cords to the tarpaulin every 2m or so. Pull the cords over the structure. Pull the tarpaulin over the structure by pulling the cords. If the tarpaulin goes hard, lift it gently over the structure and pull it up piece by piece.
- Align the tarpaulin on the tent structure.
- Fit the tension tubes of the tarpaulin. These are the tubes along the entire tarpaulin. Tighten the tarpaulin with the straps. Loosen the tensioning straps. The tarpaulin should lay down.
- Start tying the tarpaulin to the structure. Pull it carefully along the structure. Tie the curtain to the structure every 3-4 eyelets, then the tension is stronger. When tensioning lengthways, you can use tensioning straps. When tensioning along the structure, start from the top and go to the sides of the structure.
- Stretch the tarpaulin with the tensioning straps.
- The structure is ready.
