Cow welfare in the pasture - a 12x12 m pasture shelter - model CTL4040
Pasture farming for cows, whether dairy or beef, is becoming increasingly important in modern agriculture. Therefore, to meet the requirements of our customers, we have developed a livestock shelter with a lightweight construction to provide shelter from rain and sunshine while grazing in the meadow. Thanks to the covered area to which the cattle have free access, watering and feeding the animals is made easier. The 144-square-metre area under a roof made of sturdy PVC tarpaulin and rubbed-down side walls provides respite for the cattle on hot days, and shelter from the rain.

Aesthetic and robust design of the CTL4040 fattening shed
The robust tarpaulin on the roof of our 12x12 m fattening cattle shed in green blends in perfectly with the pasture landscape. The system for securing the tarpaulin to the structure of the pasture field shelters is tension belts and elastic ropes, which adapt to the tension of the roof fabric with changing weather conditions. This ensures that our tarpaulins in livestock shelters always adhere perfectly to the galvanised structure. It is important that the tarpaulin is well tightened, because a poorly fastened tarpaulin will vibrate in the wind and make noise, which is disturbing to the animals.
A 12x12 field shelter without inside supports must have a solid construction. This is why we decided to use high-grade steel and a double truss frame. Such materials and workmanship guarantee stability even in very severe weather conditions. Additional reinforcement under the roof of the livestock shelters increases the rigidity of the whole.
Open walls - better ventilation
EN has 3 product lines in its range of animal shelters. Each model has a slightly different application. The CTL model is an open type animal shelter. It has no front or back wall. The sides are not covered with a tarpaulin. This model of livestock shelter CTL 4040 is best suited to seasonal grazing of animals in the meadow. It provides cattle with temporary shelter and protection from the sun and rain.
