Livestock that spend freely most of the year in the pasture must have a shelter in case of bad weather (e.g. during rain or heat). Permanent buildings - brick buildings located far from the farm - are economically inefficient. Wooden animal shelters require permanent weatherproofing - painting and, in addition, are not mobile. Moving a 10×10 m wooden horse shelter is almost impossible.
